Why Consumer Strategy Consultations?

Here’s what I believe:
Since 1983, when I was sworn in as an Attorney and Counselor at Law in the State of Florida, I’ve observed the credit and financial system develop a culture of corruption where arrogance has dramatically replaced integrity and fair dealing. The darlings of Wall Street adopted a mind set that they deserve all the wealth and that it is impossible for them to fail. Their approach of more, more and more has become astronomically bigger than ever before. Money is the score card and winning is the only thing our high flyer bankers/brokers/financiers believe in. Sad but true!

As consumers we have been studied, manipulated, coerced, and hooked into buying things we don’t need. Persistent marketing sells us cures for our hidden distresses, feelings of inadequacy and secret aversions. We actually believe that we need the latest color, model, fashion, drug or status symbol home.

Even our government sends the message that we, middle-class consumers, are responsible for our “debt-based” economy. Remember after 9/11 when then President Bush urged us to go out and spend? An economy based on debt and the interest that is charged to the debtor (consumer) by the lender and the trusts, companies and countries that buy the debts (in order to make more money by packaging hundreds of debts together to make a security) is a house of cards.

This system is not only fraught with fraud, scams, schemes and sleaze but it increases poverty and dependence among the general populace. In my tenure as a Staff Attorney for a local legal aid organization in Central Florida, time and time again, I was reminded by our “below-the-poverty-level” clients that one year ago they weren’t poor. Many were single moms or dads.

Debt is a prison system and sixty-five percent of the American public is enslaved by this system. American consumers let this happen and buy more, more and more, going deeper and deeper into debt. In addition, in order to recruit customers and develop “brand loyalty” and a “need more…buy more” frame of mind this system targets children.

What Am I Doing About This?

I’m writing a book, The 7 Laws of Credit for Teens & Young Adults, Build a Successful Future--Profit from Credit—Stop Debt Before It Stops You. In this book I merge the philosophical/spiritual principles of my first book, The 7 Laws of Inner Peace with 25 years of practicing U.S. Bankruptcy Law and the wisdom I’ve gained through the drama of my experiences as a human being.

I’ve formed a new company: The 7 Laws of Credit Corporation, A corporation organized under the laws of the State of Colorado. Through this company we’re offering the services mentioned above. Currently, I’m meeting with various professionals in many different fields to develop a high integrity group of individuals and companies who will join in our mission.
