SEASON FOR NONVIOLENCE
January 30 – April 4, 2009
Non-violent activism that promotes life enhancement is the focus
of a 64-day educational campaign beginning January 30 and ending
April 4, 2009. This Season for Nonviolence is inspired by the
anniversaries of the assassinations of Mahatma Gandhi on January
30, 1948 and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on April 4, 1968.
The passion and creative expression of spiritual and civic-minded
individuals in more than 400 communities around the globe have
sparked this worldwide movement. Proactive voices for peace through
justice will resonate around the planet.
